This is a great chart, especially for beginners. I can use this in my Cricut classes that I teach. That is a lot of money in this chart!

This is very helpful. I wish there was a way to tell which machines work with each of the cartridges. I have the imagine and the expression and use the imagine most. My issue is that all of the non-imagine carts features and layers can’t be used to their full capacity ie: ability to apply color/patterns to certain parts only. Also some layers may not be available at all. The packaging of the new carts is ambiguous as to what features are available in each of the machines.

This is only partially helpful, since certain versions of each software only work with certain other ones. For example, I own a Create. I need v.154 to work with Cricut Craft room v.132. But neither that version of the Create, nor the next version v162, works with the current version of the Gypsy software, so until further updates come along fixing that problem, my Gypsy is useless. Still waiting for compatability between all components.

My question is WHY? Why is Provocraft making cartridges that will only work on “certain” machines. When I bought my original small Cricut, the Company proudly announced that it could use ALL cartridges. I understand that my little bug would not be able to print anything because it doesn’t have that function. But why couldn’t the cartridges still allow the cuts to be made? Here we are, applauding Provocraft for now telling us what carts work with which machines, all the while forgetting that they were ALL supposed to work in ALL machines? I do feel deceived and cheated. It’s another money grab which only an elite group can afford — those who can keep up with buying every new and more expensive Cricut that comes on the market. I used to brag to all my friends about Cricut, convincing them to buy one. Now, things have changed in Provocraft’s marketing and WE the CUSTOMERS are not their priority. Provocraft, if you want to steal back loyal customers and gain thousands of new ones, make the cartridges work for ALL machines. I call what you are doing, “UNDEMOCRAFTIC”!
