Cricut Craft Room Officially Announced

After being initially announced back in Feb 2011. Provocraft has finally worked out all the bugs and problems and Craftroom is now ready.

Craft Room is free to use and will work with Windows and Macintosh PC's. It does require the internet since it is mostly web-based.

It also offers the ability to share and collaborate on projects.

I know many folks have been more than anxiously awaiting the final Craft Room product, so it looks like it is finally here and ready to use.

I am having the same problem as “Jo”….I have downloaded the program, and when I try to login it says I’m not a member. Even reset my password and still does not work. Reply please!

I have the same problem as well. I even requested new PW’s 3 times and none of them work either.

I’m trying to create a new membership, but the ‘create new account” link does not work.

Finally! I have the program up and running (after contacting CCR THREE times!) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Have used it more in the last 2 days than I ever used Design Studio. Easy!

  6. Jeannette R. says:

I downloaded the software but received an error saying something like this was not commonly downloadedand can harm my computer. Please help! Thanks!

I have download the CCR on both my E2 and Imagine……….it works perfectly on the E2 but I really don’t think I would use CCR on my E2. I want it working on my Imagine. I have been on the phone with Provo Craft 3 days in a row. We have UNINSTALLED, REINSTALLED and check all the drivers. They have NO idea WHY it will not work. I have a new Dell laptop and am running Windows 7 with 64 bytes instead of the regualr 32………they can’t tell me IF that is a problem or not. My E2 and Imagine are both updated, it says the drivers are installed properly. I have gotten a different error message each time. Is anyone else having problems with their IMAGINE & CCR? I love the program and really would like to be able to use it. PLEASE ADVISE IF ANYONE HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE IMAGINE. THANKS

Usually if you have higher hardware on your computer the programs are only set to work with certain parameters set up. I have a Mac and so far so good but I am afraid to update to Tiger because all of my Windows based programs might not work but my Mac runs different operating systems so it might not affect it.

I have been seeing the Gypsy fall tremendously in price and was thinking about putting it on my Christmas list but the Cricut Craft Room is awesome and I like it a lot. I have found it is a lot like the Gypsy but I can have it fun on my large screen for my old eyes.

  9. Tina Hickey says:

I am using the E2 and windows 7. I downloaded the CCR. Every time I try to cut from the Craft Room I get the following message: Select Device – No usable devices are available. Make sure your device is powered on and connected.

    Also I keep getting a message to debug… :(

What can I do? Please help me I really want to use the Craft Room.

  10. Ute from Germany says:

I would love to use CricutCraftroom, but always when I want to open the CCR on my desk, I get the error:
    ccrcridge doesn’t work.

    WHY????
