Judy, yes these are brand new, so they might not be available for a little while, but I think the prices will be lower on these new carts.
Will this cartridge cut out certain individual words or phrases? Or does it cut out only the entire page image as shown? Therefore referring to the Cartridge Title, “Word Collage”
The cartridge cuts the image as shown. It doesn’t have any layers; however, there is a great selection and if you use the “transfer” paper you can pull words from one selection and replace it with words or even one word from one of the other phrases on the cartridge. We pulled America from one and then the words Haunted House from the other and we a different color for Haunted House. It looked really nice. I don’t think anyone would have know the phrase was assembled from two images. We played around with plain paper first and then tried it with the vinyl. Good Luck; I think one thing that makes Cricut Cool is the ability to experiment with the images even if they don’t have optional layers or special features, the cartridges don’t lock you in to just one view. It’s like, the more you look at the image, the more ways you can change it to meet your needs.

I am wondering how you get this aligned right if each of the words are cut out individually. Even though they are all cut at one time.. How time consuming is it going to be if you have to align every letter individually, and How do you get them all even to place them ??

Deanna…. I have this cartridge and I LOVE it…. I have used vinyl with this and then put the collage on the glass of frames… after I cut the words out… I use transfer paper and it keeps everthing lined up and perfect…..
